A re-kindled childhood friendship sparked by a like-minded love of creative thinking, adventure and a passion for storytelling, enabled Natalie and Laura to evolve their friendship in to a working partnership that just made sense. They are both dedicated to creating exciting and thought-provoking stories across all genres, and relish the opportunity to share their creations.
Laura is best known as the actress who plays the ‘Mum’ in the CBeebies show Melody – Series 1 (2013), Melody – Series 2 (2015) and Melody & Friends (2016.) She was born in leafy, Hertfordshire and worked as a teacher before training at Mountview Academy, London.
After acting in a variety of theatre, film and television roles, Laura became consumed with a thirst for writing which led her to write and develop a series of plays, feature films and a television series.
In 2016, she set up Imagine If Films with Natalie and shot her debut film, Hesperides. A twisted, dark film noir tragedy focusing on the life of a young hoarder with an obsession for birds – Hesperides marked her exciting directorial debut with co-director Jack Judd.
With a career spanning 18 years in the industry in various roles, Natalie is still as passionate about creating fabulous film and television as she was when she started out. After studying fashion photography at London College of Fashion, she began her career as a film liaison officer, working across a variety of London Boroughs.
After several years, she changed direction and started again as a runner at Pepper Post, a boutique Post House specialising in drama, and worked her way up to Junior Colourist. Recession followed as did the closure of Pepper and Natalie freelanced doing varied telecine work, rushes and digital restoration. Eventually, daylight beckoned, and she crossed into Post Supervising for television, which she’s been doing ever since.
